
TWO DRAGON ARTISTS AWARDED TEXAS PTA REFLECTION AWARDS
Congratulations to two outstanding Round Rock High School students whose Reflections entries received state awards!
- Bella Z. received an Award of Merit in High School Photography for, These Old Hands. She will receive an invitation to the Texas PTA award ceremony, a Silver Colored Medallion, a letter signed by the Texas PTA President and recognition on the Texas PTA website.
- Esther P. received an Honorable Mention in High School Dance Choreography for, Know That She's Beautiful. She will receive an invitation to the Texas PTA award ceremony, a Bronze Colored Medallion, a letter signed by the Texas PTA President and recognition on the Texas PTA website.
This is a wonderful achievement as there were nearly 875 state entries. Students receiving an Honorable Mention, Award of Merit, Award of Excellence or Overall Award of Excellence will be presented with an award at the ceremony by Texas PTA President Jennifer Easley. The ceremony will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025, in Austin at St. Edwards University. RRISD COUNCIL LEVEL REFLECTIONS CONTEST RESULTS
Congratulations to eight Round Rock High School students who were awarded in the RRISD Council Level Reflections Contest!
Esther P.'s entry, Know That She's Beautiful, won the High School Overall Award of Excellence in the Dance Choreography category. Bella Z.'s entry, These Old Hands, won the High School Overall Award of Excellence in the Photography category. Neha V.'s entry, Bare Bones, won an Award of Excellence in the Visual Arts category. Awards of Merit were awarded to Neha V.'s Film Production entry as well as Yejin C.'s and Ishleen O.'s Literature entries. Honorable Mentions were given to Rua K. (Music Composition); Dayul H. and Netra S. (Visual Arts).
2025-2026 REFLECTIONS THEME - "I BELONG"
Start thinking about all the great works of art you can create relating to next year's Reflecctions theme - "I Belong". Working on getting your entries completed over the summer will give you a great head start! The Round Rock High School Reflections contest deadline is typically in mid-October.
Why should you enter? The PTA Reflections Arts Program encourages students to tap their inner creativity and express themselves through their artwork. Reflections focuses on positive recognition instead of competition, so that student of all ages and skill levels may expreience the joy of creating art and expressing themselves imaginatively. Each year, more than 300,000 studnets nationally create an original work based on the Reflections theme. Depending on the level of competition, studnets can receive awards at the local, district, state, and even national levels.
